Everything You Wanted to Know About Rich Keller...Though You Never Even Asked
Richard Keller - Voiceovers & Freelance Writing
Decided to take the plunge into the dark recesses of my life, have you? Well, you may want to have a stiff drink ready.

Rather than bore you with paragraphs of meaningless tripe on how I was born with a silver pencil in my mouth, I thought it would be better to tell you something of myself in the form of a timeline.

1969: Born in New York City after, according to my mother, 17 hours of labor. This is my first taste of the famous Jewish guilt.

1977: My first writing gig! A simple two-page assignment for Mrs. Courtney's third grade class results in a mystery tome. I'm still trying to develop it into a screenplay.

1978: The start of my acting career in the production of It's Gonna Rain -- a story of Noah's Ark. My line: I forgot my umbrella. Future roles would include Joseph in the 4th grade production of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat and the Do-Nothing Frog in the 5th grade performance of The Do-Nothing Frog.

1986: Still in high school, my professional journalism career begins as a string reporter for The Lakeland Today. Here I learned the art of interviewing and discover how amazingly dull town council meetings can be.

1987: College! Rutgers University (or, as we called it, High School - The Sequel) was my higher education choice, and Journalism was my selection for. I don't remember much about my classes because I spent most of my time at the college radio station, WRSU, where I was news reporter/anchor and host of the weekly talk show KnightBeat.

1991: My first taste of commercial radio - WCTC AM. For the next two years I would fulfill my dreams of that time by reporting on local and state events, including election coverage and a smattering of criminal activities.

1994: After a period of finding out "who I was" (I finally determined I was myself) I began work as columnist and reporter for Vantage magazine, which focused on the comic book industry.

1997: I met my beautiful wife and spent the next few years focusing my attention on her and our new family.

2002: Tired of me moping around the house, my wife suggested (aka: forcefully pushed) I take some Improv classes with the ComedySportz franchise in Washington DC. Thus began my career in Improv comedy, with two years at ComedySportz.

2005: New state, new Improv group. I began my life with Delaware Comedy Theatre, a member of the Theatresports franchise. This is where I was able to take the spontaneity that I loved of live radio and use it to make people laugh. During 2007 and 2008 I was picked as the Managing Director for DCT's Northern Delaware branch.

2006: Shortly before my twins were born I began my career as a professional blogger at TV Squad, which focused on all things television. After posting nearly 500 items I left the site in early 2009.

2008: I expanded my TV horizons by joining the staff at CliqueClack TV where I currently review a number of shows as well as produce several snarky commentaries. Shortly after that I joined the crew at CliqueClack Food. Same concept as CliqueClack TV, except with food.

2009: I have recently become one of the voices at Quebec's CJMQ FM

There you have it! I hope that wasn't too much information overload for you.
